At OSL
The church is like a family and, like any family, things need to get done. Sunday School needs to be taught, children need to be cared for in the nursery, food needs to be prepared, dishes need to be cleaned . . . The list could go on and on and on!
Here is a list of current volunteer needs at OSL. Be sure to check the bulletin for these and other volunteer opportunities. Or fill out the serving opportunities form.
Volunteer Opportunities at OSL
- The Nursery is a busy place, and needs more volunteers to keep it a safe, fun environment. If you use the Nursery, consider volunteering to help. Sign up in the Nursery, or contact Nyla in the Church Office, 336-2942.
- Wednesday OSL Together Night Hosts If you are interested in hosting/greeting on Wednesday evenings once a month (or more, if you wish) from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., and enjoying a great meal as well, contact Kathy Nelson, 336-2942, or knelson@oslchurch.com.
- GYM/YOUTH ROOM SUPERVISORS are needed. Proposed times are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Contact Brent Haglund, brenth@oslchurch.com.
- Kitchen Team Ministry Volunteers are needed. If you would like to help in the kitchen on Sunday mornings, contact Kathy Nelson, 336-2942, or knelson@oslchurch.com. The job description includes a one-hour commitment once a month (or more, if you wish), making coffee, clearing tables, replenishing food, and greeting guests.
- SECOND SATURDAY AFTER WORSHIP MEAL volunteer ministry team. The commitment is once a month on the second Saturday to set up, serve, and clean up after the meal. If we have a group of 8 to12 volunteers, this could be rotated with a commitment of once every third month. Contact Kathy Nelson, knelson@oslchurch.com or 336-2942, ext. 21.
